We aim to make the leasing process as straightforward and transparent as possible. We offer flexible lease terms designed to fit your needs as a student. You’re welcome to get creative and customize your room, as long as no permanent modifications are made and no holes are left in the walls. This way, you can enjoy a personalized living environment while maintaining the quality of your apartment for future residents.
How do I request a roommate?
To request a roommate at Summerwood, simply complete our roommate request form after signing your lease. This form allows you to indicate your preferences and request a specific roommate, if you have someone in mind. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request and ensure you’re paired with a compatible roommate for a comfortable living experience.
What is the parking policy?
Our parking policy is simple and straightforward. Parking is available for residents at a rate of $28 per month on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that residents are not permitted to park in the future resident lot during office hours to ensure those spaces are available for visitors and prospective residents. This policy helps maintain a smooth and organized parking experience for everyone in the community.
What do I need to bring to my new apartment?
When moving into your new apartment, be sure to bring all of your personal essentials to make your space feel like home. This includes toiletries, cleaning supplies, and any cooking utensils you’ll need in the kitchen. While your apartment comes equipped with modern appliances, having your own items will ensure you’re fully prepared for day-to-day living.
Can residents add a roommate later?
Residents cannot add a roommate to their apartment after moving in unless there is an available spot. If a space becomes open after our move-in date, your friend can reserve it by signing a lease for that spot. This ensures that all new roommates are officially added to the lease and helps maintain a smooth housing process for everyone at Summerwood.
What security measures are there for the community and individual apartments?
Your safety and security are our top priorities. We work closely with the Orem Police Department to address any concerns that may arise, ensuring a responsive and proactive approach to community safety. Additionally, we have updated security cameras strategically placed throughout the property to enhance surveillance and deter any potential issues. These measures help create a secure environment for all residents to feel safe in their homes.
